Trick or Treat (Week 5 Preview)
The women face off with Northeastern and the men head to Orono in another big test for both teams
The women (1-5-0, HEA (T-2nd): 1-0-0) have their first home-and-home of the season facing conference rival Northeastern, and the men (3-3-1, HEA (T-2nd): 1-1-0) head to Maine to face the Hockey East Champions.
Women’s
The Terriers host the Northeastern Huskies on Friday (October 31st, 6pm) before making their final trip to Matthews Arena (November 1st, 3pm).

BU looks to continue their winning ways in a rematch of the 2025 Hockey East Tournament Title Game against Northeastern.
The Terriers enter the weekend off of a one game with UNH (4-2). Sydney Healey potted the game winner along with the empty netter to record her 5th career multi-goal game. Kaileigh Quigg got her 2nd of the season and Lucy Thiessen got her 1st as a Terrier.
After starting the season winning 4 straight, the Huskies dropped two on the road to Quinnipiac (3-5, 2-4). In game one, QU took a 3 goal lead before NU roared back to tie it early in the 3rd, a comeback that included 2 power goals from Jules Constantinople. However, the Bobcats took back the lead with 2 unanswered goals. In game two, it was Northeastern who took the early lead in the second (2-1) before QU scored 3 unanswered in the 3rd to win it.
The Huskies are led by senior forward Lily Shannon, who leads the team in assists (8) and points (10)—T-1st among Hockey East skaters in assists and 2nd in points—and sophomore Eloise Caron, who leads in goals (4). In net, sophomore Lisa Jönsson (2.00 GAA/.887 SV%) and freshman Renna Trembecky (2.00/.922).
This will be the Terriers’ final game at Matthews Arena, with the arena closing at the end of the year. Sarah Lefort (12/3/13) and Victoria Bach (1/16/18) are the only Terriers to record hat tricks at the arena. Lefort is the Terrier’s all-time goal leader at Matthews with 6 and Bach is the all-time assist (6) and points (11) leader.

The men travel to Orono (October 31st/November 1st, 7:30 pm) for a matchup with defending Hockey East Tournament Champions Maine Black Bears.

Another weekend, another test for the Terriers as they head to Orono to face the Black Bears.
BU enters after an up and down weekend split with UConn (4-8 L, 3-1 W). On Friday, the Terriers turned a series 2-0, 3-2, and 4-3 into an 4-8 loss, after UConn scored 6 unanswered. On Saturday, Jack Harvey and Mikhail Yegorov starred for the Terriers in the team’s first road game of the season. Harvey scoring twice and Yegorov saving 25 of 26 shots he faced. Senior transfer Owen McLaughlin had a great weekend, scoring 2 goals and an assist to lead the Terriers.
Maine comes in of a split with Colgate at home (2-3, 3-2 (OT)) and have won just 2 of their last 3. Freshman Justin Poirier leads the Black Bears in goals (5) and points (8) after a 3 point (2g-1a) weekend against Colgate. Poirier has recorded a point in all but one game for Maine—the only exception, a 0-4 shutout by Quinnipiac on Oct. 18th. Mike Richter Finalist Albin Boija continues to succeed in Maine, sporting a 2.18 GAA and .904 SV% and shutout so far this season.
The Terriers are heading up to Orono for their 4th straight game at Alfond Arena, their most in the history of the matchup. They have won just 3 of their last 10 at the Arena.
