The Terrier women head to Worcester to face Holy Cross, the team that knocked them out of the Hockey East playoffs last season
The Terriers (11-5-1, HEA: 9-2-1 (1st)) return from the break for a single game against the Holy Cross Crusaders at the Hart Center in Worcester.

The Terriers face off with the Holy Cross Crusaders for the first time this season and the first time since the Crusaders ended the Terriers’ season in the Hockey East Tournament.
Last time out, the Crusaders split a pair of overtime games, beating Boston College on December 6th, 2-1 and losing to Merrimack on December 7th, 2-3. In their win over BC, Holy Cross gave up a goal in the second minute of the game and trailed almost the entirety of the game before Mackenzie King sent it to overtime with less than three minutes to play. Alexia Moreau won it in the OT.
Holy Cross are led by sophomore forward Emily Crovo (6-8—14) and junior Alexia Moreau (5-5—10). Crovo has recorded 6 pts in her last 4 games. In goal, the Crusaders have split duties between juniors Abby Hornug (11 GP, 1.83 GAA/.943 SV%) and Brooke Loranger (7 GP, 2.47 GAA/.912 SV%).
The Terriers enter off of a 3-1 win in Orono over the Maine Black Bears before the break. Riley Walsh recorded the game winning goal, with captain Tamara Giaquinto and Lindsay Bochna also scoring. Despite not recording a point since November 1st, Lola Reid remains the Terriers stop scorer.
Tamara Giaquinto leads all Terriers with 4 pts against Holy Cross in her career. Clara Yuhn, Julia Shaunessy, and Kylie Roberts are the only current Terriers to have scored more than one goal against Holy Cross.
BU has lost 3 straight and 5 of their last six against Holy Cross. Prior to that, the Terriers had won 9 of their first 10 vs. the Crusaders dating back to their first game on January 18th, 2019.

Holy Cross Head Coach Katie Lachapelle served as an assistant coach at BU during Tara Watchorn’s time as a player. Watchorn would replace Lachapelle as a Terrier Assistant Coach when she left to take the Holy Cross job
