(17-10-3, HEA (4th): 9-8-3)
All the way back on October 18th, the Terriers and Huskies faced off at Agganis Arena to open the Hockey East slate. They meet again on Tuesday to complete the season series in Storrs. Last time out, BU bested UConn 4-2 included Cole Eiserman’s first multi-goal game of his BU career.
The Huskies enter the game on a three game winning streak, including a 3-2 overtime win over Maine on Friday. Jake Richard scored two, his second multi-goal game of the season. UConn is led by sophomore forward, Joey Muldowney who leads the team in goals (19) and points (33). Muldowney is 6th in Hockey East in points and 3rd in goals. Grad student Hudson Schandor leads the team in assists with 23, tied for 3rd in Hockey East.
The Terriers come into the game on a win, splitting the weekend with the other Huskies of Northeastern (1-5, 3-1). Cole Hutson recorded the game winner on Saturday and, with an assist in the game as well, becomes only the 2nd freshman defenseman in program history to record more than 30 points, joining his brother Lane. Devin Kaplan leads all active Terriers with 6 points against UConn—all assists.
