Meet Me in St. Louis (Frozen Four Preview)
The Terriers take on Penn State for the first time ever, with a spot in the National Championship on the line
BU heads west to face the Penn State Nittany Lions (April 10th, 8:30 pm EDT) in the Frozen Four in St. Louis, Missouri, for a spot in the 2025 National Championship Game.

The Boston University Terriers head to their 3rd straight Frozen Four, 25th Frozen Four in program history. They will face the Penn State Nittany Lions for the first time in program history, it is the Nittany Lions’ first ever Frozen Four appearance.
BU enter as winners of the Toledo Regional, knocking off Big Ten Tournament Runner-Up, Ohio State, 8-3 in the semifinal and ECAC Tournament Champions, Cornell, in the final 3-2 in OT. Freshman defenseman Cole Hutson recorded 6 points (2g 4a) in the weekend in Toledo, the most by a Terrier in the first two games of an NCAA Tournament since at least 2003. His brother, Quinn, scored the game winning overtime goal to send the Scarlet and White to St. Louis and add two assists on the weekend. Devin Kaplan, Jack Page, Quinn Hutson, Ryan Greene, and Tristan Amonte heading to their third straight Frozen the 43rd through 47th Terriers to do so. Devin Kaplan is the only active Terrier with a point in the Frozen Four, assisting on Luke Tuch’s shorthanded goal vs. Denver in 2024.
Allentown Regional Champions, Penn State, earned their Frozen Four spot defeating the Hockey East Tournament Champion, Maine, 5-1 in the semifinal and Hockey East Tournament Runner-Up UConn 3-2 in OT. Freshman forward Charlie Cerrato recorded 5 points in the regional, with 3 assists against Maine and 2 against UConn—including the game tying and game winning goals. Sophomore forward, Dane Dowiak scored 3 of his 12 goals on the season in the regional. Hobey Baker Top Ten finalist Aiden Fink leads the Nittany Lions in goals with 23—eight more than the next closest teammate—and also leads the team in assist (30) and points (53)—also the Big Ten points leader.
BU will be playing in their 2nd Frozen Four in St. Louis and the first time since 1975—10-5 win in third place game vs. Harvard following a 5-9 loss to Michigan Tech in the semifinal. For the first time since 2016-17, the Terriers will play 2 teams from the same conference—NCHC: North Dakota and Minnesota Duluth.
