Home Before the Holidays (Week 10 Preview)
The women have a home and home with UConn, while the men host Vermont for a pair, in both squads' last home games before the break.
The women (4-10-1, HEA (T-5th): 4-5-1) travel to Storrs to face the Huskies, while the men (7-7-1, HEA (6th): 4-4-0) are home for the final time in 2025.
Women’s
The Terriers head to Storrs on Friday (December 5th, 6pm) before hosting the UConn in their last game of 2025 (December 6th, 4pm).
Connecticut
(12-3-1, HEA (T-5th): 5-1-0)
BU will face UConn in their final series of 2025. Since 2020-21, BU has just 2 wins against the Huskies, with both coming in November 2022.
The Terriers enter on a three game unbeaten streak and fresh off of a shutout of Holy Cross (3-0). The Welckes both scored in the game. The second time they have scored in the same game as as Terriers and first since January 10th, 2025 at Vermont. Mari Pietersen recorded her 3rd straight shutout of Holy Cross, becoming the first goalie in program history to shut out the same time in three straight games.
UConn is on a four game winning streaking and winners of 8 of their last night. Over the weekend, the Huskies claimed the Nutmeg Classic title with wins over fellow Nutmeggers Quinnipiac (4-3) and Yale (3-2). Former Boston College forward, Julia Pellerin scored the game winner with less than a minute and a half to play. Senior Claire Murdoch had a 3 point weekend with assists on both UConn third period goals and has 6 points in her current 4 game point streak.
The Huskies are led by senior Kyla Josifovic, who leads the team in goals (8), assists (9), and points (17). The aforementioned Pellerin is 2nd in goals on the team with 6 and Murdoch is 2nd in assists with 8. In net, grad student Tia Chan has a 1.66 GAA and .949 SV%, second in Hockey East in both categories.

Men’s
BU host Vermont in their last two home games in 2025 (December 5th/6th, 7pm/6pm, Agganis Arena).
Vermont

BU enters the weekend off a Red Hot Hockey win over Cornell. Mikhail Yegorov made saves on 28 of 29 shots, including numerous game saving ones. Islanders picks scored both goals for the Terriers, as Kamil Bednarik and Cole Eiserman each recorded a goal in the 2-1 win. Eiserman’s goal ended a 4 game goal drought for Eiserman, dating back to October 25th vs. UConn when he went out injured early.
The Catamounts enter with back to back non-conference losses to Harvard (1-5) on November 22nd and Dartmouth (2-7) on November 28th. Vermont has lost 5 of their last 6, however, their sole win in that span was a 2-1 victory at Alfond Arena against Maine. UVM is led by Sophomore Colin Kessler who has 7 points (all assists), however 4 of those points came in the team’s first 3 games of the season. Three different Catamounts have 2 goals: Jonah Aegerter (FR, F), Sebastian Törnqvist (JR, D), and Max Strand (SO, F). In net, Freshman Aiden Wright has started the bulk of the games, posting a 3.53 GAA and .894 SV%.
