Rivalry Week descends for both Terrier squads as the women face off with Boston College and the men head up to Orono to face Maine
Marquee matchups for both teams as the women (9-3-1, HEA: 7-1-1 (1st)) face the Boston College Eagles in a home-and-home and the men (5-4-0, HEA: 2-1-0 (6th)) take on the Maine Black Bears in Orono.
Women’s
The conference leading Terriers welcome their arch-rivals to Agganis Arena for the first time in program history (November 15th, 6 pm) and then head to Conte Forum to close out the weekend (November 16th, 4:30 pm).
Boston College

The Terriers and Eagles renew their rival for the first time this season and the first time at Agganis Arena.
The Eagles enter the weekend off a sweep of the Maine Black Bears in Orono and on a 7 game winning streak. BC is led by sophomore Sammy Taber (5-9—14), senior Abby Newhook (5-7—12), and graduate student Gaby Roy (5-3—8), all three with 5 goals for the Eagles. Taber leads all of Hockey East with 14 points. Grace Campbell has played the majority of games in goal for the Eagles, with .907 SV% and 2.59 GAA (9th and 8th among Hockey East goalies).
BU enter unbeaten in their last 9 games, their only blemish being a shootout win vs. Merrimack last time out. The star of last weekend for the Terriers was senior Christina Vote, who recorded 4 points on the weekend, including a 3 point effort on Thursday night. Vote, the team assist leader, has recorded 12 points this season, all of which were assists, 10 of those have come in her last six games. Clara Yuhn’s two goal performance on Thursday brought it to 7 on the season, tied with freshman Lola Reid.

Men’s
The Terriers head to Orono (November 15th/16th, 7pm) to take on a 7th ranked Maine Black Bears team at Alfond Arena.
Maine Black Bears

The Terriers head to Maine for their first November weekend series in Orono since 2019-20.
Maine comes into the matchup after getting swept by Boston College, previous to that the Black Bears were on a 7 game unbeaten run, including three shutouts at home. The Black Bears are led by senior Harrison Scott (15 pts) and junior Thomas Freel (6 goals). Scott leads all of Hockey East with 15 pts and 2nd nationally. Albin Boija is third among Hockey East goalies in SV% (.931) and second in GAA (1.56).
The Terriers enter the weekend off of a split with UMass Lowell, but winners of just 2 of their last 6 after starting the season 3-0. The return of the Shane Lachance-Ryan Greene-Quinn Hutson top line led to 7 points and 4 goals for the trio, against the River Hawks. Cole Hutson continues to lead all freshman defensemen nationally in points (7). After a rough stretch of games for senior goalie Mathieu Caron, sophomore Max Lacroix got his first start of his career and earned the win on Saturday night.
BU are winners of their last 6, and 10 of their last 11, against the Black Bears, including a 4-1 win last time out in the Hockey East Championship Semifinal at TD Garden.
