Dog Fights (Women's Week 18 Preview)
The women have a trio of games this week, starting tonight vs Northeastern
The Terrier women (18-8-1, HEA (1st): 15-4-1) head to Northeastern on Tuesday before hosting UConn and Providence on the weekend.
Women’s
The Terriers head to Northeastern (February 4th, 7pm) and host UConn (February 7th, 6pm) and Providence (February 8th, 4pm).
Northeastern
(18-9-1, HEA (3rd): 13-7-1)
In a spot in the calendar formerly held for the Women’s Beanpot, the first Tuesday in February. Beanpot rivals BU and Northeastern face off for the 4th time this season. Northeastern took two of the previous three, including last time out in the Beanpot championship game at TD Garden, a 0-4 Northeastern win.
The Huskies have won 3 of their last 4 since facing the Terriers, but that includes a split over the weekend, getting shutout by Vermont (0-1) at home. The Terriers have won 4 straight in the interval, including back to back shutouts against Holy Cross in the weekend following their Beanpot match-up.

Connecticut

The top two teams in Hockey East face off for the first time this season in their first game of a trio of games. Games two and three will close out the season February 21st and 22nd.
UConn come into the game off of an overtime loss to Northeastern. It was their first loss since the first game of the Nutmeg Classic on November 29th against Yale (1-3), ending a 10 game unbeaten streak. The Huskies are led by freshman forward, Claire Murdoch, who leads the team in goals (12) and points (22). Senior defender Ava Rinker leads the team in assists with 15. Murdoch had a 6 game point streak earlier in the season, putting up 8 points in the span from November 30th to January 17th. Rinker is tied with BC’s Abby Newhook for 2nd in Hockey East in assists.
Christina Vote leads all active Terriers with 4 points vs. UConn. Lilli Welcke, Sydney Healey, and Vote are the only current Terriers to have scored a goal against the Huskies in Scarlet and White.

The Friars make their first visit of the season to Walter Brown Arena to complete the trio of games between the teams. The Terriers swept the weekend set in November (5-1, 3-2). In the first game of that set 5 different Terriers scored a goal, in the second game Luisa Welcke scored two including the game winner.
Providence is 11-4-3 since they last faced the Terriers, including wins in 9 of their last 10. Friar Reichen Kirchmair leads all of Hockey East in points (28), while fellow Friar Audrey Knapp is tied for the Hockey East goal lead with 16.
