Calm Before the Storm (Week 17 Preview)
The women host BC and Vermont while the men take on New Hampshire in a Pre-Beanpot game
The Terrier women (16-8-1, HEA (T-1st): 13-4-1) host Boston College and Vermont, while the men (13-9-1, HEA (2nd): 9-5-1) host New Hampshire.
Women’s
The women’s squad host the Eagles (January 31st, 6pm) and the Catamounts (February 1st 4pm) to close out their season series against both team.
Boston College
(17-8-1, HEA (3rd): 13-5-1)
The Terriers and Eagles play their third game in third venue to complete their season series. The two teams split their weekend series on November 15th and 16th (2-3, 3-1) with each team taking the road game.
Since the teams last faced off, the Eagles are 8-4-1 which includes a first round Beanpot loss (2-4) to Northeastern and a Beanpot Consolation game win over Harvard (4-1) along with a split with Providence (1-4, 2-1) over the weekend. Sammy Taber remains the Eagles top threat leading Hockey East in assists (16) and points (26). Julia Pellerin is second in Hockey East in goals with 14. Goalie Grace Campbell recorded 4 shutouts in that span as well.
The Terriers are 6-4-0 since their last meeting with the Eagles. Over the weekend, Mari Peterson recorded back to back shutouts against Holy Cross (2-0, 3-0), becoming the first BU goalie since Andrea Brändli shutout RPI and UNH in back to back starts on October 7th and 14th, 2022.

Vermont
(5-19-2, HEA (8th): 4-13-2)
The Catamounts make their return trip to Boston after the teams split a pair of games in Burlington (2-1, 2-3) prior to the Beanpot.
Vermont has lost all three games since their last meeting with BU, including getting shutout by BC (0-3) and UConn (0-1). Lara Beecher leads the Catamounts in points (12) and recorded a point in both games vs. the Terriers a few weeks ago.
Last time out vs. Vermont, Maggie Hanzel scored her first goal of the season in the 2-3 loss in the second game. The Welcke twins each scored in the Friday night win, with Lilli scoring the first and Luisa getting the game winner on a short-handed goal.

New Hampshire pays a visit to Agganis Arena for the second time in two weeks to complete the three game set between the teams.
Last time out between the teams, the Terriers swept the weekend (6-3, 2-1 (OT)). Ryan Greene scored the game winner in both games, with the 2nd coming in thrilling fashion in overtime. Wildcat Nick Ring scored in both games.
In their weekend apart, BU got swept by #1 in the nation Boston College (2-6, 0-2), while New Hampshire split with Vermont (2-3 (OT), 5-2) at home. Ryan Conmy had 2 goals on the weekend and leads the team with 12 goals and 23 points.
