Connecticut (3-5 L)

The Huskies opened the scoring at 6:44 in the first. BU out shot UConn 11-9 and had two powerplays but was unable to capitalize.

Early in the second Tynan Lawrence tied things up for the Scarlet and White at 1:11 in the period. His second of the season and second on the road. UConn retook the lead on the power play at 3:33. Again BU tied things up, when Jack Murtagh scored his 6th, his first goal on the road, and second goal against UConn. Lawrence recorded an assist on the goal to earn his first multipoint game as a Terrier.

In the third UConn took the lead and kept it. The Huskies scored twice to open the period at 2:39 and 3:47. Ben Merrill brought the Terriers within 1 at 9:54 in the period. Merrill’s 7th of the season, all of which have been on the road in 5 different arenas. UConn scored on the empty net at 19:05 to seal the win.

The Terriers end the season 17-17-2. Their 7th straight season without a losing season. Unlike the previous 3 seasons, there will be no trip to the Garden, no trip to NCAA Tournament, and not trip to the Frozen Four.

Advanced Stats

BU won the face off edge in two of three zones: OZone (47% to 42%) and DZone (58% to 53%) with UConn winning NZone faceoffs (44% to 56%). BU got a shot off in 95% of OZone play (21/22). UConn won Puck Battles (47% to 53%) while BU held the edge on EV Possession (54% to 46%).

Tynan Lawrence is the 17th different Terrier to be the team’s top performer in terms of Game Score, far and away his best game as a Terrier surpassing his previous best of 1.77 against BC on February 28th.

BU recorded 2 high danger shots (.45 xG) one was saved, one missed the net while UConn recorded 3 (.87 xG) all of which were saved by Mikhail Yegorov.

The xG battle was back and forth with the Terriers holding the edge midway through the 1st through the 2nd before UConn took over.

UMass-Lowell (3-4 L)

Owen McLaughlin opened the scoring at 4:09 in the first. His 5th of the season, 3rd on the road and first since November 8th vs. Merrimack. Shots were an even 8-8 in the period.

In the second, UML scored the only goal at 7:11 to tie things up. The goal ended Mikhail Yegorov's 147:11 shut out streak on UMass System campuses.

The third period saw a combined 5 goals, the most in period in a BU game since the second period vs. Merrimack on November 8th. Lowell took at two goal lead with goals at 3:42 and 8:37. Cole Eiserman got one back off the face off, his first goal at the Tsongas Center for the son of a UML hockey alum. Lowell got an empty netter at 18:11, before Gavin McCarthy brought BU back within 1. McCarthy has back to back goals for the first time since the 2024 Friendship Four in Belfast.

The Terriers took 7 penalties for the 3rd time this season, but did unlike the previous two games—Nov 1st vs Maine and January 23 vs. Providence—they were a perfect 7-7 and have killed all 10 of their last 10 penalties.

The loss was the Terriers first loss in their regular season finale since 2021-22 at Maine and first ever loss to Lowell in a regular season finale.

• Both of Owen McLaughlin's goals in the Merrimack Valley this season have had a primary assist from fellow UND transfer Sacha Boisvert

• Gavin McCarthy is the first Terrier defenseman not named Hutson to score a goal at the Tsongas Center since his brother, Case on October 30th, 2021

BU lost face offs in two of the three zones: OZone (41% to 57%) and DZone (43% to 59%), only holding the edge in the NZone (64% to 36%). They did however hold the edge in EV Possession 54% to 46% and Puck Battles 55% to 45%.

Kamil Bednarik is the 16th different Terrier to be the team’s top performer in terms of Game Score with his best performance of his career, surpassing his previous best of 2.53 vs Maine on November 1st.

BU recorded a season-high 8 high danger shots (1.85 xG), one resulted in Gavin McCarthy’s goal (.34 xG), 1 missed the net and 6 were saved (1.3 xG). UML recorded 4 (.88 xG), 2 resulted in goals (.45 xG), 1 was saved, 1 missed the net.

The xG edge was close the entire game with the differential staying between <.34 for much of the game.

Kamil Bednarik (85%) and Jack Harvey (72.92%) are the only Terriers with xG% over 70, with 4 others >50%.

Men’s

Boston College (3-1 W, 5-1 W)

In the 301st Battle of Comm Ave the Terriers came out swinging. Ryder Ritchie opened the scoring at 11:18 in the first, his 7th of the season. After scoring just 1 goal after October, Ritchie has 3 goals in February. Cole Eiserman doubled the lead at 18:20 in the first. Eiserman has recorded a point in 5 of his first 6 games vs BC including goals in 4 of 6. Cole Hutson’s assist was his first on an Eiserman even strength goal since the 2025 Frozen Four against Penn State. BU’s 19 shots on goal in the first was the most since November 22nd vs. NU when they recorded 20.

BC got on the board on the power play in the second at 7:41.

In the third, Jack Harvey sealed things with an empty netter at 19:15 in the third. His 11th of the season, tying a career high. Harvey scored in back to back games for the second time this season and first since Nov 8th and 11th vs Merrimack and Quinnipiac.

The win was BU’s 6th straight Senior Night and are a perfect 3-0 vs BC at home on February 27th (first since 1990). It was also BU’s first win over BC at home since January 28th, 2023 (6-3).

On Saturday night, the Terriers shipped out of Boston to visit the Eagles on Chestnut Hill and brought their firepower with them. Ben Merrill opened the scoring at 12:14 in the first, with his 5th goal of the season and 5th on the road. The short handed goal was BU’s 8th shorthanded goal of the season their most since recording 11 in 2018-19. BC tied things up at 17:21 in the period but could not muster any more offense.

In the second, Gavin McCarthy gave the Terriers the lead at 2:40 in the period, his third career goal vs the Eagles, his most vs. any opponent.

Jack Harvey extended the Terriers lead with a shorthanded goal at 1:27 in the third. The goal gave Harvey his second career 3 game goal streak. It is also the 2nd time this season that BU has recorded 2 SHGs in the same game and first since November 1st vs Maine. Midway through the period Ben Merrill extended the lead with his second of the game at 15:03, his first career multigoal game. Merrill is the first Terrier freshman to record a multigoal game at Conte Forum and the first to do so on the road against BC since Jeff Sveen on November 13th, 1984 at McHugh Forum. Cole Eiserman capped things off with his second career empty net goal at 18:47. Eiserman has record a point in 6 of 7 games vs BC and has a goal in 5 of them.

Mikhail Yegorov made 28 saves on 29 shots, giving him a career save percentage at Conte Forum of 0.962, only behind Sean Fields’ 0.966 for the best through two games at the arena.

The win was BU’s biggest win at Conte Forum since November 13th, 2011 (5-0 W) in their first weekend sweep of BC since exactly 3 years and a month to the day of their last on January 27th and 28th, 2023.

• Friday’s win was BU's first win over a top 10 ranked BC as an unranked team since January 8th, 2010 at Fenway Park (3-2 W)

• BU has scored multiple shorthanded goals in multiple games in back to back seasons

Game 3

BU recorded shots in 93% of OZ play (14/15), compared to BC’s 67% (10/15). BC held the faceoff edge in all three zones: OZone (38%-50%), NZone (39%-61%), DZone (50%-63%). Possession at EV was even (21:50 to 21:34).

Aiden Celebrini was the Terriers top performer for the 2nd time this season, first since January 9th vs UMass. It was his second best performance in terms of Game Score only behind October 21st at Notre Dame (4.38). It was also Mick Frechette second best Game Score performance only behind December 13th vs NU (3.03).

BU recorded 3 high danger shots (.83 xG) two were saved and the other missed the net, while BC recorded 4 (1.13 xG), all of which were saved by Mikhail Yegorov

Cole Hutson was the Terriers’ top performer in terms of Game Score joining Jack Harvey and Brandon Svoboda as the only Terriers to do it 4 times this season. Although all 3 still trail Cole Eiserman who leads the team with 5.

BU recorded just 2 high danger shots (.62 xG), both of which were saved compared to BC’s 5 (1.42 xG), 3 of which were saved by Yegorov (.89 xG), the other two missed the net.

In an inversion of Friday night, BC held the xG edge for the entirety of the game.

Jack Murtagh (66.12%) and Tynan Lawrence (61.33%) were the only Terriers with xG% over 50.

Women’s

Northeastern (1-2 (2OT))

The Huskies opened the scoring at 4:32 in the first. Midway through the second Terriers’ leading scorer Sydney Healey tied things up shorthanded at 8:34 in the period. It was her 4th shorthanded goal of the season tying Victoria Bach (2017-18) for 2nd most in a season and trailing only Rebecca Leslie who scored 5 in 2015-16. After a scoreless third, the teams headed to overtime. In the first overtime BU out shot NU 10-7 but was unable to score, so the teams headed to a second overtime period. The Huskies got the game winner at 1:14 in the period, ending the Terriers’ season.

BU’s 2025-26 season ends 11-21-3, their most losses in a season in program history.

Other Notes

• Sydney Healey, who had 0 career short handed goals going into the season, ended the season tied for the 2nd most in a season in program history

Women’s

Providence (3-1 W), Boston College (0-4 L)

On Senior Night, the Seniors led the way to ended the Terriers four game losing streak. Providence opened the scoring at 12:58 in the first. Lexie Bertelsen tied things up for the Terriers at 17:22 in the second. Bertlesen’s last 3 points at Walter Brown Arena have been goals. Returning Olympians Luisa and Lilli Welcke both had assists on the goal, just the second time this season they have both assisted on the same goal (January 17th vs. Holy Cross). Maeve Kelly gave the Terriers the lead at 12:01 with her first of the season and 3rd her career on the power play—her first as a Terrier. Luisa Welcke capped things off with an empty netter at 19:20 in the 3rd. Her 5th of the season and first against PC at Walter Brown Arena since December 9th, 2023. The Terriers dominated at the dot, winning 33 of 52 (63.46 %). The win was BU’s first on Senior Night since 2020 vs UConn (6-2).

On Saturday, the Terriers were shutout for the 5th time this season. BC opened the scoring at 6:08 in the first with a short handed goal. The Eagles added two in the second at 10:57 and 12:38, before capping things off with a final goal at 9:58 in the third. Shots were even 24-24, with BU recording 8 shots in each period. BU dominated at the dot winning 30 of 49 faceoffs (61.22%). They were unable to do anything with their 6 power play opportunities. It was the most penalties the Terriers drew since having 7 PPO in the Beanpot Final vs. Harvard on January 20th. BU heads to the Hockey East tournament as the #8 seed, hosting Providence in an opening round game.

• Michelle Pasiechnyk’s 41 saves were the most in a win since Kate Stuart’s 42 saves at Conte Forum on November 30th 2018

• Maeve Kelly recorded her 3rd career multipoint game on Friday, with her first two coming in the 2025 HEA QF (vs. UVM) and the 2025 HEA Championship Game (vs. NU)

Women’s

Northeastern (2-5 L), Connecticut (0-2 L)

The Huskies opened the scoring with two goals in the first at 11:57 and 19:31. In the second, Clara Yuhn got one back at 3:45 in the period. Yuhn has scored in 5 of her last 6 games vs. Northeastern. NU restored their two goal lead at 16:41 in the period. Midway through the 3rd Northeastern extended their lead to 3 at 13:31, however Neely Nicholson cut into the lead just 22 seconds later at 13:53. It was Nicholson’s first point and first goal against the Huskies. NU capped things off with an empty netter in the last second of the game.

On Saturday, the Terriers were outplayed by UConn. The Huskies opened the scoring in the second at 7:45 in the period. An empty netter at 17:14 in third sealed things. The Terriers were held to just 11 shots on goal in the game, their fewest of the season, the last time they had that few was October 4th, 2024 vs. Minnesota also 11. Michelle Pasiechnyk stopped 34 of 35 shots, keeping the Terriers in the game. The .971 SV% was her best performance in a non-shutout as a Terrier.

• With her 7th career goal vs. NU, Clara Yuhn moves to 8th all-time aside Erin Seman and Gina Kearns in goals against the Huskies

• It is the 5th straight season BU has been shutout 3+ times.

Men’s

New Hampshire (1-4 L, 5-3 W)

In the first UNH jumped to a 2 goal lead less than two minutes into the game scoring at 0:28 then at 1:23 on the power play. At 12:55 in the period, Ryder Ritchie got one back with his 6th of the season and first on the road since November 8th at Lawler Rink.

After a scoreless second, the Wildcats scored on a 5 on 3 at 2:18 in the third then added an empty netter at 17:27. The loss was just the Terriers’ 2nd at the Whittemore Center since 2015.

On Saturday, the Terriers responded with a barrage of goals not seen in months. Brandon Svoboda opened the scoring for the second time this week at 6:30 in the first. It was his first goal at Agganis Arena this season. UNH responded just under 5 minutes later, scoring at 11:23 in the period.

In the second, the Terriers took the lead for good, when Cole Hutson scored his first at Agganis since November 22nd vs. NU at 2:29 in the period. Jack Murtagh doubled the lead at 12:13 in the period. His 5th of the season and 2nd in as many home games.

Jack Harvey extended the lead to 3 at 1:21 in the third. It was Harvey’s 10th point against the Wildcats and 2nd goal, no other Terrier has more points on the Wildcats since 2011-12. UNH made things interesting with two quick goals late in the period at 15:31 and 16:26. Cole Eiserman seal things at 19:43 his 3rd game with a goal in his last 4. It was also Eiserman’s first ENG.

In his first start at Agganis Arena, Max Lacroix earned the win, saving 24 of 27 shots he faced.

The win extended BU’s home unbeaten streak against UNH to 13 games (12-0-1, dating back to February 13th, 2015) and their home winning streak against UNH to 10 games.

Game 1

The Terriers won Puck Battles 55% to 45%, OZone Faceoffs 58% to 41%, NZone Faceoffs 73% to 27%, and DZone Faceoffs 59% to 42%.

Charlie Trethewey recorded his second best Game Score of his career behind only Colgate on October 10th (3.07).

BU recorded 2 High Danger shots (.46 xG), one missed the net, one was saved. UNH recorded 1 (.25 xG) which resulted in a goal.

BU held the xG edge from the 22nd minute of the game on.

Tynan Lawrence (87.5), Charlie Trethewey (82.65) and Conrad Fondrk (80.77) led all players with an xG% over 80.

Game 2

Puck Battles were an even 50%-50%. BU won OZone draws 59% to 43% and DZone draws 57% to 41%. UNH took NZone draws 44% to 56%. BU held possession at EV 57% to 43%.

Brandon Svoboda was the team’s top performer for the second time this week (Beanpot Final vs. BC) and matches Jack Harvey with 4 top games for the Terriers both are just 1 behind Cole Eiserman for the team lead. In terms of Game Score this was Svoboda’s 3rd best game of his career behind Maine on Nov 1st (5.38) and Northeastern on December 13th.

BU recorded 4 High Danger shots (1.09 xG) three of which occurred in the first period including Svoboda’s goal (.25xG). UNH recorded just 2 (.59 xG) with 1 resulting in a third period goal.

After scoring their first goal, BU took the xG edge and ballooned it throughout the game.

Women’s

Vermont (0-3 L), Maine (0-2 L)

Vermont opened the scoring just 10 seconds into the game. In the second the Catamounts extended their lead to two at 8:32. At 3:44 in the 3rd UVM capped off the win with their 3rd of the game. The Terriers were a perfect 2-2 on the PK but 0-4 on the power play. BU held the edge in shots 14-10 through the first two periods but was severely outshot in the third 4-13. It was the Terriers first time getting shutout since opening night vs. Minnesota.

On Saturday, the goal drought continued. After a scoreless first, Maine took the lead on the power play at 7:17 in the second. Michelle Pasiechnyk made 17 saves on 18 shots she faced. She was pulled with just over 3 minutes to play, however the extra attacker could not help the Terriers get back in the game, as Maine iced the game with an empty netter at 17:31 in the third. The Terriers were shut out in back to back games for the first time since January 18th and 21st against UNH (0-2) and NU (0-4) respectively.

Men’s

Maine (3-2 W)

In what has been termed the “Beanpot Trap Game”, the Terriers looked to avoid looking past the Black Bears with important Hockey East points on the line. Maine opened the scoring 1:22 in the first. Less than two minutes later, Jack Murtagh responded with his 4th of the season and his first goal since November 11th vs Merrimack, ending a 16 game goal drought at 3:07 in the first. Maine took back the lead at 11:33 in the period.

After a scoreless second, Cole Eiserman tied things back up for the Terriers at 4:27 in the third on the power play. It was his first PPG since scoring two vs. Colgate on October 10th.

In overtime, after getting his game winning goal wiped away on Monday, Ryder Ritchie potted the game winner at 1:42 in the period. Ritchie is the first Terrier not named Cole or Hutson to score an OT game winning goal since Ryan Greene on January 18th, 2025 vs UNH.

The win was the Terriers 8th straight home win over the Black Bears, their longest in program history against Maine with their last loss coming on November 17th, 2018.

Advanced Stats

BU recorded 22 Scoring Chances for the second straight game. BU won OZone Faceoffs 50%-47%, DZone Faceoffs 53%-50%, while Maine won NZone Faceoffs 47%-53%. 94% of BU’s OZone Play (15/16) resulted in a shot. The Terriers held possession at EV 55% to 45%. Maine won puck battles 46% to 54%.

Jack Harvey was the Terriers top performer for the 4th time this season, second only to Cole Eiserman (5). Harvey has topped the team in Game Score in two of the last three games.

BU recorded just 1 high danger shot (.24 xG) which was saved compared to Maine’s 0. It was the first time since they faced Harvard on January 12th that BU allowed 0 high danger shots.

It was a tight xG battle with the differential not growing larger than .28.

Women’s

Merrimack (3-0 W, 3-1 W)

The women snapped their 4 game losing streak on Friday with a win over Merrimack. Lola Reid opened the scoring at 11:02 in the first, her second of the season and first goal against Merrimack. Just under 6 minutes later, Greta Henderson scored her first career short handed goal at 16:53 in the period. All of four Henderson’s goals as a Terrier have come away from home. After a scoreless second Clara Yuhn seal things for the Scarlet and White at 18:38 in the third, with an empty net goal. Yuhn’s goal was her 8 against the Warriors. Michelle Pasiechnyk records her 22nd career shutout and 1st as a Terrier. It is the first time since 2019-20 and 2020-21 that BU has had back to back season where multiple goalies have recorded shutouts.

On Saturday, Mari Pietersen was back in goal for the first time since the Beanpot final. Sydney Healey opened the scoring for the Terriers her first goal against Merrimack at Walter Brown Arena since October 29th, 2022 at 4:59 in the first period. The Warriors got one back midway through the first at 11:09 in the period. In the second Lexie Bertelsen scored for third of the season at 3:45. Bertelsen scored twice in January after scoring just once in the first half (Oct 10th vs Colgate). In the third, Sydney Healey capped off the sweep for the Terriers with her 15th of the season which ties her career high. Her 7th multigoal game of her career and 3rd of the season. It was the first weekend sweep for the Terriers of the season and first since January 24th-25th, 2025 vs. Holy Cross. BU is unbeaten in their last 8 against Merrimack (7-0-1)

• It is the 7th time in program history that BU has had 2 goalies record a shutout in the same season

• Sydney Healey becomes the first Terrier since Sammy Davis (18-19, 19-20) to record back to back 15+ goal seasons

Men’s

Boston College (1-4 L)

Boston College opened the scoring at 3:28 in the first period of the 299th Battle of Comm Ave. The Eagles scored twice more in the second at 5:59 and 16:53 to go out to a 3-0 lead. Jack Harvey finally put the Terriers on the board just 37 seconds into the third. BC added an empty netter at 18:47 in the period. The Terriers went a perfect 5-5 on the PK. BU has dropped 3 in a row for the first time since October (17th-24th).

Other Notes

• BU falls to 55-13-5 in the pre-Beanpot game and 3-1 under Jay Pandolfo in such games

• Cole Eiserman has recording a point in 3 of 4 games vs. BC

Advanced Stats

The Terriers won OZone Faceoffs 60%-52% and NZone Faceoffs 61%-39% while the Eagles won DZone Faceoffs 48%-40%. BC won Puck Battles 54%-46% while BU held the edge on possession at EV 58%-42%.

Jack Harvey was the Terrier’s top performer for the 3rd time this season and is second behind Cole Eiserman for the most this season (5).

Both teams recorded 4 High Danger shots with a 2 of BU’s (1.17 xG) being saved (.72 xG) including a Ben Merrill shot with a .47 xG and 2 missed the net. 3 of BC’s (1.03) were saved by Yegorov (.78 xG) and one resulted in a goal.

BU held the xG edge for most of the game only losing it from the 17 minute mark of the first through the 30 minute part of the second.

Women’s

Vermont (2-5 L, 1-2 L)

The Terriers hoped to shake off their Beanpot loss on Friday night, but the Catamounts had other ideas. After a scoreless 1st, Vermont scored 4 unanswered goals with 3 coming in the 2nd at 5:03, 15:34, 17:33 and 1 in the 3rd at 8:51. Three of Vermont’s goals came on the power play marking the first time since November 1st vs. Northeastern that BU allowed more than 1 powerplay goals. Keira Healey got her first of her career on the power play at 10:45. Vermont got a shorthanded goal less than two minutes later at 12:03. Sydney Healey scored her 12th of the season at 19:12. It is the first time the Healey sisters have scored in the same game become the second pair of Terrier sisters to do so.

Sydney Healey opened the scoring on Saturday, just 20 seconds into the game. It was her 8th career goal against the Catamounts, her most vs. any opponent. Men’s

Providence (3-4 L, 0-4 L)

The Friars came out hot on Friday night, scoring 2 power play goals in the first period to open the scoring at 7:00 and 11:32 in the period.

In the second Cole Eiserman cut into the lead with his 9th of the season and first on the road this season at 3:14 in the period.

Tynan Lawrence scored his first collegiate goal and first collegiate point, just 28 seconds into the 3rd, to tie things up. PC took back the lead at 11:40. Cole Eiserman had other ideas, tying things back up at 12:49. Eiserman’s first multi-goal game on the road of his career. PC took the lead for good at 17:19 in the period.

On Saturday night, Providence opened the scoring at 2:03 in the first. For the next 48 minutes and 31 seconds, neither team scored, until PC doubled their lead at 10:34. The Friars potted two more at 17:26 and 19:42 to cap off a weekend sweep of the Terriers. It is the first time the Terriers have been shutout by Providence since October 26th, 2018.

It is the first time since 2023-24 that BU was shut out at home twice in the same season.

BU held the possession at even strength edge 56% to 44% as well as won Puck Battles 53% to 47%.

A much closer game than Friday night, however PC still held the xG edge for most of the game.

Huskies Fire Away

In their first consolation game since 2022, the Huskies took their frustrations out on the Boston College Eagles. BC’s Sammy Taber opened the scoring at 16:46 in the first, her 5th of the season. However, Eloise Caron would not let the Huskies go into the break behind, tieing things up at 18:32 in the first, her 4th goal in 4 games.

In the second, NU’s Stryker Zablocki scored her 12th of the season at 17:59 and with an assist on Caron’s goal, recorded her 8th multipoint game of the season.

Huskies leading scorer Lily Shannon scored her league leading 16th goal of the season and 34th point to extend the team’s at 12:21 in the third. Sammy Taber and the Eagles finally cut into the Huskies’ lead with 2 seconds left of the game, Taber has 6 points in her last 2 games.

NU wins their third straight game at TD Garden, however, this one did not see them lifting a trophy when time ran out. The Huskies blasted 57 shots on goal compared to the Eagles’ 29. It was NU’s 8th third place finish and BC’s 7th place finish.

Crimson Beans

Harvard goalie Ainsley Tuffy more than earned her Beanpot MVP and Bertagna Trophy honors withstanding 46 of 47 Terrier shots to give Harvard their first Beanpot since 2022.

The Crimson opened the scoring at 1:34 in the first when Gwynn Lapp scored her first of the season. At 10:27 in the period, Greta Henderson scored the Terriers first ever power play goal at TD Garden.

Through regulation, the Terriers draw 7 penalties but did nothing with them beyond Henderson’s first period goal. It was the most they’ve drawn all season, matching their total vs. BC on November 13th.

The Terriers outshot the Crimson 47-15, however only 1 shot mattered for the Crimson, Carla McSweeney’s overtime penalty shot to win Harvard’s 16th Women’s Beanpot. Harvard Coach Laura Bellamy becomes the first person to win a Women’s Beanpot as a player (2012), assistant coach (2015), and head coach.

BU losses their third straight game at TD Garden and has scored 2 total goals in 3 games at the home of the Bruins. It is BU’s 9th second place finish in the Women’s Beanpot in 11 Championship Game appearances.

Men’s

UMass Lowell (3-4 L (ot), 3-0 W)

On Friday night, the Terriers lost a tough one to the River Hawks. Jonathan Morello opened the scoring at 15:53 in the first. His fifth of the season and BU’s first 1st period goal since December 13th vs. Northeastern. BU dominated shots in the first 17-5.

In the second Jack Harvey extended the lead scoring his third power play goal of the season and the Terriers’ first since November 29th vs. Cornell at Madison Square Garden, ending a 14 PPO drought at 6:42 in the second. Harvey is the first Terrier with a shorthanded goal and a power goal in the same game since Devin Kaplan on February 14th, 2025 vs. Providence. Lowell scored three unanswered goals at 14:01, 18:12, and 19:56 in the second to take the lead going into the third.

Max Lacroix came in for the third after Mikhail Yegorov made just 15 saves on 18 shots on goal. At 6:47 in the third, Jack Harvey scored his second of the game shorthanded. His 3rd career multi-goal game and first since October 25th, 2025 vs. UConn.

The teams headed to overtime where UML got the OT GWG at 2:00 in the period. The loss with the Terriers 1000th in program history.

On Saturday, the Terriers fought back strong and tighten up defensively. After 39 mins and 59 seconds of scoreless hockey, Cole Hutson broke the ice with his 8th goal of the season and first since November 22nd vs. Northeastern. After 40 minutes of play the teams recorded just 22 shots combined, split evenly 11-11.

In the third, Nick Roukounakis doubled BU’s lead with his fourth of the season in his a fourth different arena at 11:38 in the period. Cole Hutson recorded an assist on the goal for his 6th multipoint game of the season. Ben Merrill recorded his 2nd empty net goal of the week to cap things off at 17:45.

The shutout was just the 4th all-time on the road vs. UMass Lowell, the first since March 15th, 2019 (3-0) in the Hockey East quarterfinal and first regular season shutout of the River Hawks since January 21st, 2000.

Mikhail Yegorov made 23 saves in his 2nd shutout of the season. He is the second Terrier to shutout both the Minutemen and River Hawks, following John Curry, and is the first to do so in the same season.

Holy Cross (2-4 L)

The Terriers had just one game between the Beanpot semifinal and the final. Holy Cross opened the scoring just 37 seconds into the game. The goal ended Mari Pietersen's 204 min 34 second shutout streak vs. the Crusaders. Just over a minute later, Neely Nicholson tied things up for the Scarlet and White with her second career goal at Walter Brown Arena and first since February 7th, 2025 at 1:54 of the period. Holy Cross went into intermission with the lead after a goal at 16:13 of the period. In the second, the Crusaders extended their lead with a goal at 12:38 in the period. Jackie Wright came in, in relief for the final 24 minutes of the game, her first career appearance. Holy Cross scored an empty netter at 16:25 in the third to further their lead. Luisa Welcke stopped the bleeding with an extra attacker goal at 17:16 in the 3rd. Welcke recording her 4th career multipoint game as a Terrier with an assist on Nicholson’s goal—her first since March 1st, 2025.

• Holy Cross’ first period goal ended a 223 minutes 54 seconds shutout streak among all Terrier women's goalies vs. Holy Cross

Men’s

UMass Amherst (1-0 W, 0-2 W), Harvard (4-1 W)

The Terriers began 2026 with a solid defensive performance. In the first, the Terriers held the Minutemen to just 4 shots on goal. Jonathan Morello was a perfect 5-5 at the face off dot in the period, the Terriers as a team won 13 of 15. He ended the game, winning 7 of 8. In the second, at 7:49, BU broke the tie when Jack Harvey scored his 6th of the season and first since November 22nd vs. Northeastern. That would be the last puck to enter the net as the Scarlet and White left the Mullins Center with a 1-0 shutout win.

Mikhail Yegorov earned his second career shutout and the first BU shutout at the Mullins Center since John Curry shutout the Minutemen on February 18th, 2005. Yegorov’s 18 save effort was the fewest in a shutout since Vinny Duplessis also saved 18 against Vermont on February 12th, 2021.

On Saturday night, the Minutemen return the favor. In the first, despite outshooting UMA 12-3, the Minutemen ended the period with the lead after scoring at 11:39. The goal ended Mikhail Yegorov’s shutout streak dating back to the December 13th vs. NU at 91:24. After a scoreless second, UMass potted an empty netter at 19:07. It was the first shutout at Agganis Arena since UMass also did so on January 7th, 2024.

The series was the first time in program history that BU and the same opponent shut out each other on back to back nights.

On Monday, the Terriers fought hard to close out their three games in four days with a win. Harvard opened the scoring at 13:15 in the first. Midway through the 2nd, the Terriers tied things up at 11:01 when Conrad Fondrk scored his first goal against a team whose name does not start with M—his previous goals came against Michigan State and Maine. Just over a minute later, Jonathan Morello scored his 4th goal of the season at 12:07 in the period. All 4 of Morello’s goals have been scored in the City of Boston.

The teams played a tight third. It wasn’t until the 18:22 when Harvard pulled their goalie that BU extended their lead. Ben Merrill potted the empty netter, his first since a pair in the Maine series on October 31st and November 1st. Morello, who assisted on Merrill’s goal, earned his first multipoint game since October 10th vs. Colgate. Sacha Boisvert further extended the Terriers lead at 19:27 with a second empty net goal. Boisvert 3rd of the season, each scored in a different Boston arena.

Mikhail Yegorov was stellar all weekend, 1 goal or fewer in three straight games for the first time in his career.

The win against Harvard was their first win at Bright-Landry in over ten years, their last win coming January 7th, 2016 (6-5 W).

New Hampshire (2-1 W)

The Terriers headed to UNH for their sole game before the start of the Beanpot and came back with the win. The Wildcats opened the scoring, shorthanded, at 13:21 in the first. Luisa Welcke tied things up in the waning minutes of the period, scoring her third of the season to send things to the break even. The goal was her first goal at the Whittemore Center since January 13th, 2023 while playing for Maine. In the second, team scoring leader Sydney Healey continued her scoring ways, giving the Terriers the lead for good at 10:06 in the period. It was her 11th of the season and first at the Whittemore Center.

Michelle Pasiechnyk, getting her first start since November 14th vs. Boston College, saved 25 of 26 shots she faced. The Scarlet and White were a perfect 3-3 on the PK and are a perfect 10-10 in their last 3 games.

• After failing to score in her first 9 games vs. UNH, Sydney Healey has scored in back to back games against the Wildcats

Women’s

Quinnipiac (2-2 T (SOW)), Harvard (3-2 W)

The Terriers headed to Belfast with Belpot on the line. First up, Quinnipiac, who opened the game with a goal at 10:48 in the first, followed by a goal at 3:39 in the second. At 11:48 of the 2nd, Sydney Healey began the Terriers comeback, scoring the first International goal in program history. Almost at the exact same time in the 3rd, at 11:37, Healey scored another one, tieing things up. It was Healey’s 6th career multi-goal game and just her second away from Walter Brown Arena—November 7th, 2024 vs. Merrimack at Lawler Rink. The teams skated to a scoreless OT and headed to a shootout. Mari Pietersen, who stopped 36 of 38 shots in the game, stopped all 3 of the Bobcats’ shootout attempts. Lilli Welcke scored the Terriers only shootout goal to send BU to the Friendship Series final.

In the final, BU faced Beanpot rivals Harvard to see who would ring the Belpot. The Terriers opened the scoring at 17:55 in the first when Riley Walsh scored her first goal away from home exactly a year to the day of her last, January 3rd, 2025 at Holy Cross. Harvard tied things up at 4:18 in the second, but 36 seconds later, Friday’s shootout hero, Lilli Welcke gave the Scarlet and White back the lead at 4:54. Welcke became the first European Terrier (men’s or women’s) to score a goal for the Terriers in Europe. Early in the 3rd, Harvard again tied things up at 1:21. Midway through the 3rd, Neely Nicholson gave BU the lead for good at 12:46, with her first career goal vs. Harvard. The win was just the 2nd mid-season tournament win in varsity program history, following the 2019 Beanpot, also over Harvard, also a 3-2 win.

Men’s

Simon Fraser (8-2 W)

The Terriers returned to action in style, cruising to an 8-2 win over Simon Fraser. BU was without Gavin McCarthy—returning from the Spengler Cup, Cole Hutson, Cole Eiserman, Kamil Bednarik—all returning from the World Juniors, and Sascha Boumedienne—still in the World Juniors.

In the first, Sacha Boisvert opened the scoring on the power play 6:02 in the first. The Terriers scored three more times in the period at 9:21 (Jack Murtagh), 15:27 (Ryder Ritchie), and 19:26.7 (Jonathan Morello).

In the second, Simon Fraser finally got on the board at 1:46 of the period. Followed by Jack Harvey restoring the 4 goal lead at 3:58. Midway through the period, Max Lacroix relieved Mikhail Yegorov.

The third began much like the first with a Sacha Boisvert powerplay goal at 4:24. Simon Fraser got one back at 8:31, before the Terriers extended their lead with a final two goals from Brandon Svoboda (10:30) and Jack Harvey (12:15 PPG).

Steven Luciano saw his first game action as a Terrier, playing the last 3:24 of the contest and facing 0 shots on goal.

Northeastern (4-3)

It was a night to remember as the Terriers roared back multiple times to close their old home with a win.

NU opened the scoring with two goals in the first at 11:27 and 14:37. He who would become the hero of the night for the Terriers, Brandon Svoboda, got one back for BU at 17:40 in the period, his third of the season, and first career goal against Northeastern.

In the second, Sacha Boisvert tied things up with his first goal since the season opener vs. LIU on October 4th. Both of Boisvert’s goals this season has featured an assist from former North Dakota teammate Owen McLaughlin. The Huskies skated to the locker rooms with the lead after a goal with just a second to go in the period. Despite leading in shots 24-17, the Terriers entered the 3rd a goal down.

The Terriers failed to score on all four of their power play, including one in the last half of the third. Mikhail Yegorov came up big with a save of a Husky penalty shot, the last in the Arena’s history, at 9:39 in the period. With their backs against the walls, and the sounds of “Stacy's Mom”—a song of celebration of imminent victory for Northeastern—rang through the Dog House as the teams exited the final TV timeout of the game, Yegorov was pulled in favor of an extra attacker. The ploy worked as Kamil Bednarik potted the game tieing at 18:03. Bednarik’s goal, his 5th of the season, and the final extra attacker goal at Boston (Matthews) Arena. 18 seconds later, the hero of the night, Brandon Svoboda, silenced the crowd in the Arena with his 2nd of the game. It was Svoboda’s 4th career multi-goal game, giving him more multi-goal games than single goal games in his BU career (3).

The Terriers held on for the victory, closing out their original home with their 1700th win in program history. BU finishes with a 348-177-19 record at Boston (Matthews) Arena.

A hard fought, tight game in Storrs saw the Terriers earn a big 2 conference points on Friday night. After a scoreless first, Sydney Healey opened the scoring at 10:02 in the 2nd on the PK. Healey’s 2nd shorthanded goal of her career, both coming this season. Five minutes later, UConn tied things up at 16:50. It was the last goals scored by both team, as a scoreless third and overtime saw the teams head to a shootout. In the shootout, Healey and Lilli Welcke scored for the Terriers, and Mari Pietersen saved 2 of the Huskies 3 shots to claim the shootout win. Healey has scored in both of the Terriers’ shootouts this season. The shootout win ended a 6 game losing streak to UConn dating back to January 13th, 2024.

Pietersen was stellar, saving 42 of 43 shots, two off her career high of 44—set on October 3rd, 2025. The Terriers were a perfect 3-3 on the PK.

On Saturday, Lilli Welcke opened the scoring at 4:17 of the second after a scoreless first. Welcke’s second career goal against the Huskies and first since January 13th, 2024. Later in the period, UConn tied it up on the power play at 13:54. The Huskies took the lead at 2:08 in the third. With the goalie pulled, Avery Supryka scored her first as a Terrier to tie things up at 15:53. With just 7 seconds to play, UConn potted the game winner.

Men’s

Vermont (2-1 W, 2-3 L)

Just as he did at Madison Square Garden, Kamil Bednarik opened the scoring for the Terriers at 14:44 in the first, his 4th of the season, doubling his total from last season. It was also his first career 5 on 5 goal. BU outshot UVM 13-4 in the period, but only came away with the one goal.

In the second, Charlie Trethewey scored his first of the season at 14:38 in the second. Trethewey is the 18th different Terrier to score a goal this season, the 6th straight season the Terriers have had 18+ goalscorers and the fastest to that total since 2020-21. Jack Harvey recorded an assist on both goals to record his 15th career multipoint game and second of the season—first since October 25th vs. UConn. Unlike the first, it was the Catamounts who outshot the Terriers 17-7.

In the third, Vermont finally got on the board at 9:08 of the period to cut into the Terriers lead, but it was not enough. BU held on for the win, the win was the team’s 10 against Vermont under Jay Pandolfo, the first team they have reached that milestone against.

Despite a better performance on Saturday night, the Terriers saw a worse result. Vermont struck first at 4:13 in the period. Cole Eiserman struck back a few minutes later with his 8th of the season and first goal at Agganis Arena since October 24th vs. UConn. For the second straight night, BU held UVM to just 4 shots in the period, outshooting them 14-4, however on this night the teams went into intermission tied.

In the 2nd, the Catamounts again took the lead at 14:46 in the period.

At 10:07 in the third, Nick Roukounakis, tied things up for the Terriers, scoring his 3rd of the season and first at Agganis Arena. With just 21 seconds to go in the game, another last minute dagger for the Terriers, as Vermont scored the game winner at 19:39. The loss was the first to Vermont under Jay Pandolfo, the last remaining conference foe to beat the Terriers under his regime.

The Terriers performed better on Saturday, except in the most important metric—goals. BU had nearly double UVM’s OZone Possession and overall held the possession edge 58% - 42%. The Terriers recorded just 1 high danger shot, Nick Roukounakis’ 3rd period goal (.25 xG) while Vermont had 2 (.49 xG) one was saved by Mikhail Yegorov and one was UVM’s 3rd period goal.

Holy Cross (3-0)

Luisa Welcke opened the scoring at 8:47 in the first, which snapped a 9 game goal drought dating back to October 17th. It was her 2nd career goal vs. Holy Cross and first at the Hart Center. In the second, her sister, Lilli extended the Terriers’ lead at 2:20 in the period, with her third goal of the season. The Welckes scored in the same game for just the 2nd time as Terriers and first since January 10th, 2025 at Vermont. In the third, Mia Vegilii recorded her 1st collegiate goal at 11:15 to cap off the win for the Scarlet and White. Clara Yuhn assisted on the goal to extend her point streak to 6 games, and has recorded a point in 8 of her last 9.

Mari Pietersen was stellar, stopping all 19 Crusader shots she faced. Her 3rd career shutout and third straight shutout of Holy Cross.

BU went 3-3 on the PK and has killed have killed 15 of 16 in their last 5 games.

The win extends the Terriers’ unbeaten streak to 3 games, their best stretch of the season.

• This was BU's 4th straight shutout of Holy Cross, which matches the program record for most consecutive shutouts of the same team (Vermont 2006-2007)

Men's

Cornell (2-1 W)

The Terriers shined under the bright lights of The World's Most Famous Arena on Saturday night.

Kamil Bednarik opened the scoring in the first, scoring his first power play goal as a Terrier at 6:17 in the period. It was his 3rd goal of the season and first non-shorthanded goal.

In the second, Cornell tied things up at 15:00 in the period. Through two periods, the Terriers and Mikhail Yegorov withstood an onslaught from the Big Red, recording 23 shots on goal compared to BU's 12.

Cole Eiserman gave the Terriers the lead for good at 5:24 in the third. His 7th of the season, and first of the season away from Agganis Arena. The goal also ended a 4 game goal drought for Eiserman, dating back to October 25th vs. UConn when he went out injured early. With an assist on Bednarik's goal, Eiserman recorded his 12th multipoint game of his BU career.

Mikhail Yegorov was stellar, saving 28 of 29 Big Red shots. BU killed all 4 penalties and has killed 10 of 11 in their last 3 games.

The win gave the Terriers their 4th outright win of Red Hot Hockey—plus a shootout win in 2015 to retain the Kelley-Harkness Cup—and ending Cornell's 4 game winning streak in the biennial event. The win was also BU's 2nd over Cornell in 2025, the last time BU beat Cornell twice in the same season was 2023—at Agganis and in the Manchester Regional Final—and prior to that 1974.

BU’s sole high danger shot (.3 xG) was Kamil Bednarik’s first period goal, on the other end of the ice Cornell record 3 high danger shots (.84 xG) Mikhail Yegorov saved 2 (.48 xG) while the 3rd missed the net.

Cornell held the xG edge for much of the game after the first 15 minutes of the game. BU didn’t even record a shot attempt in the last 5 minutes of the game as Cornell had multiple power plays to end the game.

Cole Eiserman was the only Terrier recorded an xG% over 60.

Women’s

Providence (4-1 W, 2-2 T (SOW))

On Friday night, a spark, and a hope for the winds of change. The Friars opened the scoring at 6:53 in the first, but that was the last time they found the back of the net. At 12:03 in the period, Lilli Welcke tied things up for the Scarlet and White, her first against the Friars as a Terrier—she had previously scored one as a Maine Black Bear on November 19th, 2022. Two minutes later, Clara Yuhn gave BU the lead at 14:15. Yuhn’s has scored in 4 of her last 5 games against the Friars. After a scoreless, Kaileigh Quigg extended the Terriers’ lead at 16:08 in the 3rd, her 4th of the season, matching her career high. Riley Walsh sealed the win a few minutes later, with her first of the season and first since the Hockey East semifinal vs. BC.

In her first start in over a month—October 17th vs. Brown—Mari Pietersen was stellar, stopping 34 of 35 shots she faced.

On Saturday, the Friars got out to a 2-0 lead in the first, with goals at 4:29 and 18:24 in the first. In the second, the Terriers got one back at 17:26 with Greta Henderson’s 2nd as a Terrier and first since November 1st against Northeastern. BU held Providence to just 2 shots on goal in the period, a 10-2 differential. In the third, with the goal pulled, the team’s leading scored Sydney Healey tied things up and sent the game to overtime with just 29 seconds to play. After a scoreless overtime, the teams went to a shootout where Luisa Welcke and Sydney Healey scored for the Terriers and Mari Pietersen stopped both of the Friar’s attempts to secure the extra shootout point.

The Terriers’ dominated from the dot, winning 71.1% of faceoffs, led by Kaileigh Quigg who won 7 of 8 and Lilli Welcke who won 13 of 17.

BU is now unbeaten in their last 7 vs. Providence (5-0-2) and they have not lost at Schneider Arena since November 18th, 2023.

Men’s

Northeastern (2-3 L, 4-3 W (OT))

The Terriers headed to Matthews Arena on Friday night, for their penultimate game at the Arena.

John McNelis opened the scoring with his first of the season and first career road goal at 1:02 of the first. NU answered at 3:50 in the period. However, midway through the period, Nick Roukounakis gave the Terriers the lead at 8:54 of the period, his second in as many games.

Despite outshooting the Huskies 17-10 in the second, it was the Huskies that got the goal, tieing things up at 2:17. After a penalty free first, the second saw a combined 9 penalties for 18 PIM.

In the third, the Huskies only recorded 3 shots on goal compared to the Terriers’ 8, but at 18:53 in the period, they find the back of the net to clinch the victory.

On Saturday night, the Terriers built on their successes from Friday night. Jack Harvey ended BU’s 18 power play opportunities drought, with his first career power play goal at 4:09 in the first. At 13:33 in the period, Cole Hutson extended the Terriers’ lead with his 6th of the season. Cole becomes the 3rd Hutson to score against Northeastern at Agganis Arena as a sophomore. Sascha Boumedienne recorded assists on both Terrier goals, for his first multipoint game of the season and 4th of his career. NU cut into BU’s lead with just 2 seconds in the period, a period in which BU outshot NU 20-6.

In the second, Jonathan Morrello scored his 3rd of the season and 2nd shorthanded, becoming the 1st freshman with multiple shorthanded goals since Joel Farabee in 2018-19. The Terriers again limited the Huskies, holding them to just 5 shots, including just 3 on their 5-minute major power play.

NU roared back in the third, sending things to overtime after a goal at 12:44 and 18:59, the latter coming with the goal pulled.

In overtime, after the Terriers early power play was evened up by a penalty. For the second straight home game, Cole Hutson lit the lamp in overtime, his giving him his third career multi-goal game and second career OT GWG.

The Terriers and Huskies have traded wins in each of their last 6 games, dating back to the 2023-24 season.

The Terriers were dominant on the night, maintaining possession at EV 57% to 43%, winning puck battles 56% to 48%. Faceoffs were even in the OZone (55%-55%) and DZone (45%-45%) with NU holding the edge in the Neutral Zone (46%-54%).

The Terriers held the xG edge up until the 51-minute mark but reclaimed it in OT.

Boston College (2-5 L, 2-3 L)

Kaileigh Quigg opened the scoring at 9:03 in the first on Thursday, her 3rd of the season and 2nd against BC—1st since January 31st. Despite hold them to just 5 shots in the first, the Eagles went into the intermission with the lead, after scoring at 17:12 and 19:07. Midway through the second, Lola Reid scored her first career power play goal at 15:42—her first goal since January 24th, 2025 vs. Holy Cross. BC blitz the Scarlet and White with 3 goals in the first 5:41 minutes of the third, to clinch the 2-5 decision. Despite outshooting the Eagles 45-23 and winning 58.8% of faceoffs and have 7 power play opportunities, the Terriers were unable to find the back of the net.

On Friday, before a Hockey East Home Attendance Record setting crowd (3,965), the Terriers took on the Eagles at Agganis Arena. BC opened the scoring on BU’s power play at 16:12 in the first. Less than 30 seconds later, Sydney Healey evened the scoring with her 6th of the season at 16:41 in the period. Healey is the only Terrier to score in both BU-BC games at Agganis Arena. In the waning seconds of the period, the Eagles restored their lead at 19:52. After a scoreless 2nd, Clara Yuhn tied things up at 5:44 in the third, her 4th career goal and 6th career point at Agganis Arena—her most at any arena outside Walter Brown. At 16:42, BC took back the lead for good. For the second night in a row, the Terriers outshot the Eagles (33-32), won a staggering 71.7% of faceoffs and 6 power play opportunities, yet could not find the back of the net.

Quinnipiac (2-6 L)

Cole Eiserman returned to the lineup after missing the previous four games, and Nick Roukounakis made his season debut, returning from injury.

Quinnipiac came out strong, blitzing BU with 25 shots in the first, scoring 3 goals in the first.

Jack Harvey cut into the lead with a short-handed goal at 10:37 in the second. Harvey’s first shorthanded goal as a Terrier. However, on the same power play, Quinnipiac restored their 3 goal lead at 11:21 in the period. The Bobcats extended their lead with another power play goal at 12:30. 24 seconds later, Nick Roukounakis scored his first as a Terrier. Quinnipiac added another in the third at 11:01.

Mikhail Yegorov tied a career high 43 saves set in the Beanpot final vs. Boston College. The Terriers went 0-6 on the power play, failing to use it to cut into the Bobcats lead.

Maine (1-3 L, 2-1 W)

In a weekend in which they needed a win, the Terriers got one, earning the split in Maine. On Friday, Maine opened the scoring just 27 seconds into the game. In the 2nd, just 1:06 into the period, newly appoint Assistant Captain Neely Nicholson scored her 2nd career shorthanded goal and first in almost exactly a year, with her last coming on November 1st, 2024. Maine scored 2 in the third to claim the win. Michelle Pasiechnyk tried her best to keep the Terriers in the game, stopping 32 of 35 Black Bear shots on goal.

On Saturday, Maine open the scoring on the power play at 9:42 in the first. Late in the second, the Terriers tied things up, when Clara Yuhn scored her 4th of the season, her first goal in Orono since October 28th, 2023. Sophomore defender Tessa Demain recorded her first point as a Terrier with an assist on the goal. In the third, BU’s leading scorer Sydney Healey recorded her 10th career multipoint game with her first goal in Orono since October 28th, 2023 at 9:34 in the period. The Terriers held on for the win, their 2nd of the season, with Pasiechnyk earning the win after stopping 27 of 28 Black Bear shots. The Terriers have won 4 of their last 5 at Alfond Arena.

Men’s

Merrimack (3-2 W (OT), 5-4 W)

On Friday, the Terriers got back to their winning ways in a thriller at Agganis Arena. Jonathan Morello opened the scoring midway through the first at 11:04, his second of the season and first non-empty net goal as a Terrier. Merrimack got two back at 14:40 and 17:53 in the period to go into the intermission with the 2-1 lead.

After a scoreless second in which both teams combined for just 11 shots on goal, Jack Murtagh tied things up for the Terriers at 16:30. Murtagh scoring his second goal in as many Friday home games. It was also his 6th point in his last 8 games. Neither team could score in the remainder of the period, and the game headed to overtime.

In overtime, Cole Hutson made quick work of the Warrior, scoring the game winner just 21 seconds into the period. His first career overtime game winning goal. The win was the 100th against the Warriors, the 5th team that BU has reached that milestone against—Northeastern (172 Wins), BC (141), UNH (122), Providence (120).

On Saturday, the Terriers continued firing on all cylinders. After a scoreless first, the Terriers jump to a 3-0 lead. First up, Gavin McCarthy scored his second of the season 36 seconds into the period. It was his 6th of his career and first in a true road game. Next up, Cole Hutson scored his 5th of the season, 2nd of the weekend, scoring in an 11th different arena. A chaotic end to the period saw Merrimack cut into BU’s lead with two powerplay goals at 15:04 and 19:50. Sacha Boisvert recorded 3 assists in the period, the first Terrier to do that since Quinn Hutson in the 2nd period of BU’s 8-2 win over Providence on March 6th, 2025. Mikhail Yegorov took a roughing penalty at the end of the period, the first Terrier goalie to take a penalty since Mathieu Caron on December 1st, 2023, also in the 2nd period at Merrimack.

In the third, Owen McLaughlin extended BU’s lead with his 4th as a Terrier and his 3rd point of the game at 15:46 in the period. His most points in a game since February 22nd, 2025 when he recorded 5 against Minnesota-Duluth as a member of North Dakota. Jack Harvey scored an empty netter at 17:45, his fourth career goal against the Warriors, his most against any opponent. Merrimack made things interesting with 2 goals at 17:56 and 18:44, but time ran out before they could complete the comeback. The win was their first weekend sweep since January 17th and 18th vs. UNH, and their 8th win in their last 9 vs. Merrimack.

The Terriers held the xG advantage for essentially the entire game after the 5-minute mark, the longest sustained edge since BU’s first game vs. Colgate.

11 Terriers recorded an xG% over 50 with Cole Hutson leading all players with more than 10 minutes of TOI with 64.16 xG%.

Game 2

Like night one, the Terriers held the possession advantage at EV 53%-47%. BU also held the slight edge in puck battles, 51%-49%.

Sacha Boisvert tops the Terriers for the first time since opening night vs. LIU. In each of the last 9 games, a different Terrier was the team’s top performer in terms of Game Score.

BU recorded just 2 high danger shots (.45 xG) neither of which resulted in a goal, while Merrimack recorded 5 (1.46 xG), 1 resulted in goal (.59 xG) while the other 4 were saved by Mikhail Yegorov (1.05 xG). BU’s three 2nd period goals had a combined .14 xG.

The xG differential remained tight for the first two periods of the game, with Merrimack ballooning a .39 edge in the 39th minute of the game to 1.77 by the final whistle.

All but 3 Terriers recorded an xG% under 60, with all Terriers with 15+ minutes of ice time recorded an xG% under 45.45%.

Women’s

Northeastern (1-3 L, 3-7 L)

A tight loss Friday night, turns into a blowout loss on Saturday for the Terriers in their final game at Matthews Arena.

On Friday night, the Terriers took an early lead when Clara Yuhn scored her second of the season at 2:59 in the first. Yuhn has scored in 4 of her last 6 games vs. Northeastern. BU went into intermission up 1-0 despite a 7–16 shot differential. In the second, NU tied things up at 9:31. In the third, the teams nearly skated for OT, but the Huskies took a lead on the power play at 19:32 and an empty netter at 19:49.

Michelle Pasiechnyk kept the Scarlet and White in the game, stopping 37 of 39 Huskies shots. BU excelled at the face off dot, winning 31 of 43 (72.09 %), led by Lilli Welcke who went 18 for 26 (69.23 %).

On Saturday, BU didn’t fair much better. NU opened the game with 4 straight goals, taking a 4-0 lead midway through the second. Sydney Healey broke the shutout at 11:24 in the second. Her 3rd career goal against Northeastern and first in a non-neutral site game. Michelle Pasiechnyk recorded her first point as a Terrier with an assist on the game. The first goalie to record a point for BU since Callie Shanahan vs. Vermont on February 16th, 2024. Three minutes later, at 14:18, Greta Henderson scored her first goal in over a year, with her last coming vs. St. Thomas, as a member of St. Cloud State, on October 26th, 2024. NU extended their lead in the 3rd with 2 more goals. Clara Yuhn took one back at 18:22, her 4th straight game vs. NU with a goal. The Huskies capped things off with an empty netter at 19:38. A night after killing 3 of 4 penalties, The Terriers allowed 4 power play goals in 6 opportunities. BU has scored just 1 power play goal this season, going 0-7 on the power play this weekend.

Saturday’s game was the Terriers’ last at Matthews Arena, the arena in which they played their first game as a varsity program. It was the site of their first Beanpot title as a club team in 1981. Sarah Lefort holds the team record for most goals at the arena with 6. Victoria Bach, the points record with 11. Bach and Lefort are the only Terriers with hat tricks at the arena. Allyse Wilcox recorded the only Terrier shutout at Matthews on February 21st, 2009 (3-0 W). Their final record at the arena as a varsity team is 13-22-4.

Men’s

Maine (4-5 L (OT), 5-8 L)

On Friday night, a back and forth shootout with the Black Bears ended in a loss. In the absence of one Cole, another Cole stepped up, with Cole Hutson opening the scoring with his 3rd of the season at 3:15 in the first. Maine becomes the 8th team all three Hutson brothers have scored against. 4 seconds later, Maine tied things up. Later in the period, at 8:28, Ryder Ritchie restored the Terriers lead with a power play goal. Richie’s 6th of 8 game as a Terrier in which he recorded a point.

Midway through the second, Maine tied things up at 7:01. Ben Merrill scored his first as a Terrier, and first goal scored by a Hingham native for the Terriers since Jay O’Brien on March 6th, 2023 vs. Minnesota in the Frozen Four. Two minutes later, Maine, again, tied things up at 16:47.

In the third, Sascha Boumedienne scored his first on the road since February 25th vs. UConn. It was also the first goal in which both Sascha and Sacha (Boisvert) recorded a point. Maine tied things up for the fourth time at 7:00 sending things to OT. In OT, Maine finally had a lead of their own, winning it at 0:43. 11 different Terriers recorded a point in the game, the most this season.

Just 36 seconds into the game Saturday night, Ben Merrill scored his 2nd goal in as many games. Just like the night before, Maine answered right back on the other end 33 seconds later. Unlike the night before, Maine scored twice more in the first to go into the intermission with a 3-1 lead.

In the second, Brandon Svoboda cut into the Black Bears lead at 5:04, his first career goal on the road. Again, Maine answered. Kamil Bednarik scored a short-handed goal at 11:58. Of Bednarik’s 4 career goals, 3 have been short-handed. Again, Maine answered with two more. Conrad Fondrk stemmed with bleeding with a power play goal at 18:50. Fondrk was the 7th different Terrier to score a power play goal this season.

Maine, again, responded, with a short-handed goal of their own early in the third. Two minutes later, Brandon Svoboda scored his second of the game, with a short-handed goal at 3:18. Svoboda’s 3rd multi-goal game in the 6 games in which he scored a goal. The goal was also Svoboda’s personal best 4th point of the game. Svoboda is the 10th Terrier to record 4+ points in a game at Alfond Arena, the latest since Lane Hutson on February 3rd, 2023. Maine scored an empty netter to cap off the 22-goal weekend at 17:17.

Game 1

The Terrier’s only solace in their performance, outside goals, was a slight faceoff edge 52% - 48% and winning one more puck battle 71-69.

John McNelis was the Terriers top performer on the night with his second-best performance in terms of Game Score after opening night vs. LIU (2.0318). McNelis is the 7th different Terrier to be the team top performer and the 6th different in the Terriers’ last 6 games.

The Terriers did not record a High Danger shot in the game, the first time in the last two seasons they have not done so, while Maine record 4 (.99 xG)—two which resulted in goals including the game winner.

The Terriers were kept to mostly low danger shots (22 in total) which contributed heavily to their performance.

Only 1 Terrier recorded an xG% over 50, while all but 4 recorded an xG% under 40. On the flip side, every Black Bear with TOI over 5 recorded xG% over 55.

Game 2

The Terriers improved a bit compared to night one in terms of Advanced Stats, but a -9 Scoring Chance differential is devastating.

Brandon Svoboda has his best performance as a Terrier—and was the game’s top performer overall—besting his night in the second Michigan State game (2.6760). He recorded the highest Game Score of any Terrier in a game this season, followed by Cole Hutson who put up the 2nd highest Game Score this season.

High Danger shots were more even on Saturday night, with BU recorded 5 (1.15 xG) compared to Maine’s 7 (1.64 xG). Only 2 of Maine’s goals came on high danger shots, with Max Lacroix saving 4 HD shots (.95 xG). Brandon Svoboda record 3 of the Terriers 5 HD shots (.7 xG) including his 2nd period goal. Bednark’s SHG was also a HD shot (.25 xG).

As opposed the last night, the xG differential was tight for half the game, the Terriers limited Maine to just 1 high danger shot in the first 30 minutes of the game. It wasn’t until the second half of the game that things start to diverge.

For the second night in a row, the vast majority of Terriers record and xG% under 50, with Ben Merrill and Brandon Svoboda the only ones above 50.
